Hi everyone
Last March I appleid for DLA and got turned down . I am profoundly deaf and went to a tribunal in october and won the appeal and got lrc and lrm and I know alot of deaf people get lrc and lrm or lrm and mrc so I was happy about it. But the DLA people are not happy they sent in for a written statement of reasons and let me waith 4 weeks and now they have appealed to the upper tribunal and I am rea;;u annoyed about it. I know it has to go to the duty judge and it is up to the duty judge to let it go to the commissiors or it is not allowed and the DLa people will have to pay me. Has anybody been through that I have heard it is rare for the case to go to the commissioners.
Any advice welcome
Ruth

hi Ruth
I am interested in your case. i used to work at DLA and i know how difficult it is for deaf people to get fare treatment. this is the first case i know that has been awarded by appeal and then rejected by DLA. have you had any news? have you been awarded?
